PROJECT DESCRIPTION

General Description:
Taekwang (TK) Green Office project is located in the suburban area, addressed at Dusun Belendung II, Rt. 17, Rw. 06 Cibogo in the District of Subang, West Java, Indonesia. TK Green Office project is a part of PT. Taekwang Industrial Indonesia (TKII) shoe factory development. Activities of this project is to build an office building and its supporting facilities, such as roads, parking spaces, landscapes, etc. TK Green Office building will serve as the main office of TKII shoe factory. The owner has decided to pursue USGBC's LEED green building certification for TK Green Office project only, not whole of factory development project.

SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY

Creating a sustainable project
The overall sustainability strategy was mainly comes from selecting the appropriate site. This project was built on a previously developed area, thus the alternative transportation credits can be easily achieved. Another strategy performed was to fulfill the site development and stormwater design credit requirements. On the water efficiency category, selection of water efficient fixtures contribute to a much lower water consumption, by planting native and adapted vegetation also reduces the need for irrigating the landscape. Optimization of the energy performance, leading to energy savings for the building once in use. Selection of the right materials and resources can contribute to a more healthy working environment whilst also divert more waste going into the landfills.
