Nuovo Centro Giovani - Rovereto

The project has been designed to be a meeting place for young people from the city of Rovereto. In order to raise awareness about sustainability themes among the building users, the Rovereto Municipality, the construction’s owner, decided to follow the certification process according to the LEED® protocol to demonstrate the complex’s sustainable aspects. The building has been LEED® certified since January 2013 with LEED® Italy New Construction 2009 Silver level certification.
The construction presets by two different stories above the ground level and is characterized by ah energy efficient envelope. The well distributed internal spaces which, considering the intended use, guarantee an excellent view on the outside, increasing the sense of comfort of the occupants. Attention to the use of regional materials and certified wood allowed to increase the sustainability level by reducing the environmental impact.
The building rises in a previously built area, characterized a huge variety of services in the surroundings and it borders a large green park. The project area is also well served by public transport.
