Green energy continues to gain ground against fossil fuel. In particular, the wind energy being installed around the world has grown by 44% in 2014 according to Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC).
Compared to 2013, the world has added 51,477 megawatts of wind power in 2014 bringing the total global wind capacity to a huge number 369,553 megawatts.
The top 3 countries for new installed capacity are China (114,763MW), USA (65,789MW) and Germany (39,165MW). United Kingdom sits at the sixth place with 12,440MW installed wind energy.
