Passivhaus Social Housing in Paris

11 December 2014, 06:52 |

In the middle of the Latin Quarter in Paris, French architecture firm Vous Êtes Ici Architectes designs a new social housing complex (total floor area of 1500m2) based on PassivHaus principles.
The 11 dwellings well respond to the requirements of the “Plan Climat”, a strategic document of Paris created to drive CO2 reduction, high energy efficiency and minimized ecological footprint in building.

The concrete frame structure supports the wooden framework of the facades which is partially fitted with timber cladding. The building was designed to maximise daylighting while ensuring excellent comfort levels and ventilation.
