Job Summary
AECOM’s London office is seeking a Senior or Principal Consultant with LEED experience to join the Sustainability group, as part of a growing, creative and diverse team.
AECOM’s Sustainable Development Group has been a UK leader for many years, developing policy and practice for sustainable communities and buildings across the UK and abroad.
The Sustainability team comprises of specialists within the Building Engineering AECOM Business line. The Sustainability team focuses specifically on sustainable development in the built environment, supporting the development of regulations and policy and promoting best practice for sustainable communities and buildings in the UK and internationally. Its works across all sectors within construction (housing, schools, universities, offices, retail etc). AECOM is a recognised industry leader in the field of sustainable development.
AECOM is seeking an enthusiastic self-motivated person who has excellent written and verbal communication skills and who wants to make a difference in the field of sustainable development and climate change. AECOM is specifically looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Consultant who has knowledge and experience in delivering LEED assessments. We have been successful in winning a number of LEED projects with high profile clients.
 
Duties & Responsibilities  
 
The Role Will Include
  • Managing and conducting LEED assessments including chairing meetings, preparing progress reports and managing the certification process
  • Providing advice to design teams of varying project sizes on how to achieve compliance with LEED requirements;
  • Undertaking preliminary calculations for key LEED credits. 
  • Pursuing new work and building client relationships
 
Candidates Should
  • Be LEED Accredited Professional or LEED Green Associate;
  • Have a track record of having carried out LEED assessments, with experience in certifying projects;
  • Have a minimum of three years’ experience on LEED–related work;
  • Have experience of preparing good quality written reports, presenting technical information in a coherent and accessible way to a non-technical audience;
  • Have experience of using software packages, in particular: Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint;
  • Have a good science, building engineering, architecture or energy degree with, ideally a post graduate qualification related to energy, buildings or the environment;
  • Be highly motivated individuals with excellent communication skill;
  • Have a good understanding of, and interest in, sustainable development issues as they relate to the built environment.
  • An in-depth understanding of LEED v. 4.0
