A £5million refurbishment scheme for the Legal & General Property’s 740 Waterside Drive in Bristol has been awarded design stage ‘Very Good’ ratings under the BRE’s new BREEAM UK Refurbishment and Fit-Out scheme. The building has become the first ever building to be certificated under the new BREEAM standard.
“Constantly looking to push boundaries on what we can achieve in the sustainability arena, we believe that improving existing assets, where we have the opportunity to do so, is pivotal to reducing the impact that the built environment has on our fragile eco-system. This can only be achieved by working with forward thinking third parties who demonstrate skills and understanding in this area”. said Debbie Hobbs, Head of Sustainability at Legal & General Property.
JLL, as project manager, architects Stride Treglown, M&E consultants Hoare Lea and Sweett Group as quantity surveyors have work on the project to attain the above achievement.
Congratulations. Very well done!
