Rebuild, the Italian leading event dedicated to the sustainable building industry and real estate sector, returns to Riva del Garda, Italy, in June 22-23, 2016.
The two-day conference will focus on Industry 4.0 (the 4th Industrial Revolution), BIM (Building Information Modelling), intelligent assets and circular construction economy as key drivers to boost the building sector while promoting the so needed growth of the industrial construction system.
Once again, REbuild is expected to be an inspiring platform for learning how the building sector is evolving in the near future. In particular, this year’s edition will see industry experts debating on digitalisation of the manufacturing industry and the optimisation of the manufacturing-led supply chain. Along with the Government’s eco incentives and post-earthquake financial support, it is envisaged that the off-site building manufacturing and the digitalisation of industrial processes can mark a profound change in the construction chain. They may offer a strong solution to enable the regeneration of the existing multi-storey residential building populating our suburbs as well as the improvement of large real estate assets in a more energy efficient and sustainable matter.
In this context, digitalisation is also about technology solutions to facilitate communication and innovation spreading across the sector. Disruptive digital platforms, such as Ongreening.com, plays a crucial role in providing means to successfully disseminate best building practices and research outcomes across the entire industry, to enable knowledge sharing and to connect the various industry parties and to promote innovation.
The top-quality panel of leading experts and speakers comprises Pierre Barrelet, Development and Strategy Director at Bouygues Construction, Jacopo Palermo, CEO of Impresa Percassi S.p.A., Maurizio Focchi, CEO of Focchi S.p.A., will discuss how robotics, digital engineering, augmented reality and I.o.T (Internet of Things) are already transforming the green building industry landscape opening up incredible opportunities for all parties involved in the sector; Vicente Guallart, Director of Urban Habitat at IAAC, will showcase disruptive experiences and cutting-edge sustainable building projects in Spain enabled by the innovative digital design technologies; Peter Goossen, design manager at BouwNext, and Jan Willem Sloof, from Renolution, will show how the manufacturing digitalisation can offer great chances to not only large construction companies but also to everyone.
